Meagan Curtis, Ph.D.
Meagan Curtis is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Purchase College. She received her Ph.D. in Psychological and Brain Sciences from Dartmouth College in 2007. She was a postdoctoral fellow in the Music Cognition Lab at Tufts University prior to coming to Purchase College in 2010. Dr. Curtis studied with Dr. Jamshed Bharucha at Dartmouth and Tufts.
As an undergraduate, Dr. Curtis studied at Hampshire College with Dr. Joanna Morris and Dr. Neil Stillings. She received her B.A. in 2001 with a dual concentration in cognitive science and music. Dr. Curtis is a classically trained singer and has studied music at New England Conservatory, Hampshire College, and Marlboro College. She has performed at a papal audience for Pope John Paul II and at the White House during the Clinton Administration. |
